We began researching digital templating systems in 2005. We are a production shop and needed a light, portable system that could hold up to our rigorous schedule. We looked at several systems over the next year and decided that the LT-55 would best meet our needs.
While we do not use the LT-55 on every top we measure, it has proven to be accurate and reliable. The .dxf files created by the LT-55 are compatible with our waterjet software Additionally, we use AutoCAD LT to edit our shop drawings. The new "Auto Fillet" feature and "Dimensions" allow us to check our laser template in the field, which cuts down on human error.
