Job Description

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Entry Level Mechanical and Electrical Production Assembler to join our growing team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for assembling subassemblies and full systems for our industry-leading 3D laser measuring systems. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, is eager to learn, and wants to grow with a fast-paced, innovative company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assembling mechanical and electrical subassemblies that are part of larger systems.
  • Taking full ownership of your assigned assemblies to ensure each meets or exceeds LPI’s high-quality
    standards.
  • Performing precise, detail-oriented work with care and consistency.
  • Using basic tools and procedures to assemble, solder, inspect, and test components.
  • Collaborating with other team members and departments to ensure smooth workflow and top-tier
    product output.
  • Supporting inventory management at your workstation, keeping parts stocked and organized.
  • Proactively identifying and documenting quality issues or defects.
  • Participating in rework and updates based on engineering revisions.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Skills & Qualifications

Required
  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical or trade school a plus.
  • 1–2 years of mechanical/electrical assembly experience preferred but not required—motivated, hands-on learners encouraged to apply.
  • Strong sense of ownership and pride in producing high-quality work.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools: Allen wrenches, screwdrivers, soldering irons, torque drivers, etc.
  • Ability to follow detailed written and visual instructions (build sheets, diagrams, specs).
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Positive, self-starting attitude—willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate simple inventory or assembly software.

Compensation

Salary
  • $18.00 – $22.00/hour, depending on experience
