GMail Authentication Required Error

Issue:

You receive the following error when attempting to email a job while using a GMail account:

The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: 5.5.1 Authentication Required. Learn more at

Cause:

1. The username/email address or password was entered incorrectly while setting up the email account.
2. You are trying to send an email from what Google considered a “Less Secure App”

Solution:

While  logged into your GMail account:

1. Visit https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps
2. Tick the radio button next to Enable
3. Click Done
